Cerebrovascular disease and antiphospholipid antibodies in systemic lupus erythematosus, lupus-like disease, and the primary antiphospholipid syndrome.
|
| description: |
Most of the antibodies found were IgG, 27 patients were IgG-positive, 1 was IgM-positive and 5 were both. Anti-cardiolipin antibodies were strongly associated with cerebrovascular disease (stroke/transient ischemic attacks) in patients with SLE as well as in those with lupus-like disease and primary antiphospholipid syndrome.
