| name: |
Prevention of experimental antiphospholipid syndrome and endothelial cell activation by synthetic peptides.
|
| description: |
Mice that had received the epitope-specifc mAb at day 0 and the epitope peptide at day 8 of pregnancy were sacrificed on day 15 of pregnancy. Fetal loss, activated partial thromboplastin times, and platelet counts (markers of the APS equivalent in mice) were tested. All three parameters showed an APS-like syndrome in adoptively transferred mice, which were reversed in those also treated with the epitope.
