7-L-alpha-D-heptose1-->of the inner core domain of Salmonella lipopolysaccharide is accessible to antibody and is the epitope of a broadly reactive monoclonal antibody.-->
name:
The disaccharide L-alpha-D-heptose1-->7-L-alpha-D-heptose1-->of the inner core domain of Salmonella lipopolysaccharide is accessible to antibody and is the epitope of a broadly reactive monoclonal antibody.
description:
Thisdisaccharide is part of the core domain of Salmonella LPS.
All the Salmonella LPS tested was reactive with the epitope-specific mAb in WB (S. choleraesuls. serogroup C1, S. anaturn. serogroup E, S. typhimurium serogroup B, S. paratyphi serogroup A and S. typhl. serogroup D1). In competition ELISA, the smooth (O-4,5,12) and Ra LPS of S. typhimurium were efficient inhibitors, while the Rc, Rb1, Rb2 and Rb3 were not inhibitors, but their isolated O-PS fractions were.
