description:
The epitope was deduced by testing different strains of meningococcal bacteria. L3,7,9 LPS inhibited the binding of epitope-specific mAbs to L3,7,9 LPS. Monoclonal Abs 3A12-E1 and 4A8-B2 were IgG1 and 4D1-B3 was IgM. The mAbs also bound to L3,7,9 LPS in a western blot.
