| name: |
Peptide ELISA for measuring antibodies to N-protein of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus.
|
| description: |
Sera from different herds that had been submitted to an animal diagnostic laboratory were tested here against the peptide ELISA. All sera had been positive by the HerdChek ELISA and/or by neutralization assay. Antibody binding was most pronounced to VR-P12 and MN-P12, but was also significant to VR-P9-2, VR-P11, MD-P12, LV-P9 and LV-P11. Reactivity to VR-P10 and JA-P12 was poor. The peptide ELISA and the HerdChek ELISA detect antibodies with different epitope specificities and/or bind antibodies to epitopes with different efficiencies.
