name:
Recognition of B and T cell epitopes by cattle immunized with a synthetic peptide containing the major immunogenic site of VP1 FMDV 01 Campos.
description:
The paper refers to the sequence of the VP1 protein which is processed from the larger polyprotein referenced in the database.
A carboxy-terminal C was present on the peptide used as antigen. Protein G purified immunogloblulin from cattle immunized with either free or BSA-coupled VP1 aa 135-160 responded equally well to this epitope. When IgG from one immunized cow was affinity purified using this peptide, the purified IgG reacted specifically to this peptide.
