Recognition of B and T cell epitopes by cattle immunized with a synthetic peptide containing the major immunogenic site of VP1 FMDV 01 Campos.
|
| description: |
The paper refers to the sequence of the VP1 protein which is processed from the larger polyprotein referenced in the database.
A carboxy-terminal C was present on the peptide used as antigen. Protein G purified immunogloblulin from cattle immunized with either the larger peptide VP1 135-160 as a free peptide or coupled to BSA responded equally well to this epitope. When IgG from one immunized cow was affinity purified using this peptide, the purified IgG reacted specifically to this peptide.
