description:	The epitope was selected after 4 rounds of biopanning with affinity-purified anti-parvalbumin IgE antibodies from fish-allergic patients. The epitope is from a Cys-flanked decamer random peptide phage library. Matching algorithms were used to match the mimotope sequence to amino acid residues Lys87, 89-92 (GDSD) and Asp94 of Cyp c 1 (carp parvalbumin).
