| name: |
Relative immunogenicity and efficacy of two synthetic chimeric peptides of fimbrin as vaccinogens against nasopharyngeal colonization by nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae in the chinchilla.
|
| description: |
Another fimbrin peptide (YQWLTRVGKYRPQDKPNT), also possessing a carrier moiety (Measles Virus T-cell epitope), was recognized by antiserum from immunized animals, but to a much lesser degree. Because this peptide shared no sequence with the LB1 epitope, recognition likely was due to the generation of antibodies specific for the common carrier region. Additionally, Western Blot analysis revealed that antisera from immunized animals recognized the epitope, but not the other fimbrin peptide. .
