name:
Synthetic peptides representing epitopes of outer membrane protein F of Pseudomonas aeruginosa that elicit antibodies reactive with whole cells of heterologous immunotype strains of P. aeruginosa.
description:
Pre-adsorption of anti-epitope antisera with whole bacterial cells resulted in a removal of epitope-specific antibodies, causing a decrease in antibody titers upon subsequent ELISA (using plates coated with whole cells (strain FD3 or FD6) or epitopic peptide). Similar results were obtained when pre-adsorption was carried out with cells from bacterial strain FD6.
