Role of lgtC in resistance of nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae strain R2866 to human serum.
|
| description: |
The epitope N-acetyllactosamine (beta-D-Gal-(1-4)-D-GlacNAc) is a component of lipooligosaccharide.
Epitope specific MAb 3F11 bound Haemophilus influenzae stain R2866 weaker than R3392 which is derivative of the former stain with increased sensitivity to human serum in whole-cell ELISA. The binding was approximately doubled by neuraminidase treatment.
