This peptide is a linkage of residues 67-76 and residues 308-317 (connected by 2 glycines between residues 76 and 308) from V antigen protein of Y. pestis. This peptide was synthesized in an attempt to simulate a discontinuous/conformational epitope within the natural structure of V antigen.
IgA epitope-specific antibodies were also produced in antisera from outbred mice.
