description:	This conserved sequence is also present in F. hepatica cathepsin L1. The epitope was studied with an N-terminal aceytylation and a C-terminal carboxamide. Healthy individuals not infected with the organism did not react with the epitope. Of 212 patients infected with other parasites, only 1 reacted with the peptide.
