In addition, epitope-specific mAb reacted with isolate Mon/3/88-infected HEp-2 cells in ELISA as well as reacting with the Group A isolates Long, A2, Mad/10/92, Mon/11/88, Mon/12/88, Mon/1/89, Mon/1/90, Mon/3/90, Mon 4/90, Mon 7/91, Mon/1/92, Mon/8/92, and weakly with Mon/2/90 and the Group B isolate Mon/15/91. Other A and B strains tested did not react, the epitope appears to be strain-specific.
