description:	Numbers differ because the paper uses numbering from the mature VP1 protein which is processed from the larger polyprotein that is found in the database. Immunization with O₁ BFS virus generated antisera that was unable to neutralize the chimeric A/O virus containing this epitope. The chimeric virus was generated by substituting the FMDV O₁ BFS strain epitope described in place of aa 857-881 (TNKYSASGSGVRGDFGSLAPRVARQ) in the VP1 region of the polyprotein of the A₁₂ virus.
