description:	Immunized sheep produced IgG1 epitope-specific antibodies as well. Mice immunized with unconjugated epitopic peptide produced epitope-specific antibodies, but with lower titers. Additionally, antisera that had been affinity purified yielded detectable levels of specific antibodies recognizing the epitope.
