| name: |
Epitope mapping porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus by phage display: the nsp2 fragment of the replicase polyprotein contains a cluster of B-cell epitopes.
|
| description: |
The epitope sequence is identical in Lelystad virus, also known as porcine respiratory and reproductive syndrome virus strain Lelystad.
The epitope sequence was selected from a phage display library using 3 or 4 rounds of selection with day 42 postinfection (42-dpi) swine serum. It was confirmed that the plaque-purified phage clone reacted with 42-dpi sera in an ELISA of total porcine Ig. Seroconversion toward the epitope occurred late, > 21 days postinfection, but seroconversion rates were not predictive of titers.
