description:	Epitope-specific, bactericidal and protective mAbs recognized NspA from strain 8047 when presented in its native conformation in membrane vesicles from recombinant E. coli. Mutations in the epitope resulted in complete loss of binding by mAb AL12, and greatly decreased binding by mAb 14C7. mAb 14C7 is IgG3, while mAb AL12 is Ig2a.
