The epitope-specific mAb was able to bind to phage clones L4-2-11, L4-2-22 and L4-1-22 that displayed the epitope, and the phage clones were able to compete for binding of the mAb to the peptide LPHSNLDHIL . Binding of the mAb to a fusion protein from the phage clones was also shown by Western blotting.
