name:
Development of human antibodies against linear antigenic and immunogenic regions of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) nucleocapsid and phospho-proteins shows the site-directed characteristics.
description:
The sequence source for the epitope was provided in Leonov et al. J Gen Virol 1994
75 :1353 [PMID: 8207401] as RSV A2.
The highest titers were observed against this epitope. The rise in IgG specific anti-P immune response could be non-correlative with the rise in the total specific anti-RSV immune response during primary or secondary infection. Approximately 58% of the variation in total anti-RSV titers in the late convalescent phase of infection may be predicted, given the initial titer of antibodies directed to the C-terminal major antigenic and immunogenic region of the RSV P protein represented by P62 peptide.
