name:
Epitope determinants of a chimpanzee dengue virus type 4 (DENV-4)-neutralizing antibody and protection against DENV-4 challenge in mice and rhesus monkeys by passively transferred humanized antibody.
description:
Passive transfer of IgG 5H2 delta D antibodies protected rhesus monkeys from DENV-4 infection. Viremia was not detected in any of the four animals that received the transfered. In a separate assay, the onset of viremia was shown to be delayed and its duration shorted following passive transfer of the epitope-specific antibody [Men et al. J Virol 2004;78:4665 (PMID: 15078949)].
