description:	Panels of hemodialyzed and hepatitis chronic patient's sera reacted with the epitope. Sera also showed positive reactivity in SPR. This peptide-based diagnostic approach worked as well as the commercially available test employing recombinant E2 as antigen. Moreover, the NS3 peptide could be exploited to improve the sensitivity of the currently available test.
