The latex allergen hev B 5 is an antigen with repetitive murine B-cell epitopes.
|
| description: |
The epitope was deduced by a study of overlapping peptides. MAbs 6A10 and 3G3 were IgG1, and 6F6 was IgG2b. Using methionine substitution, the critical amino acid for the epitope-specific mAbs was determined to be Lys 5. Other epitopes that the mAbs recognized were PAEGEK and PAEEEK (the dominant epitope), also in Hev b 5.
