The epitope-specific mAb binds to Bra j 1 A, B, C, D and E by ELISA . By Western blot Bra j 1E was detected. The recognition of the mAb with the Bra j I isoforms but not with the other seeds of related crucifers indicates that the epitope is specific for mustard allergens.
