description:	The epitope was able to inhibit bind of antibodies made to lactoside succinyl -mellitin to solid phase LacSuc mellitin. Direct binding was also shown by ELISA. Various analogs of the epitope , consisting of transposed sequences were also made and were able to elicit antibodies at reduced levels.
