This epitope is a combination of the known B and T cell epitopes from Semliki Forest virus E2 protein
the B cell epitope is PFVPRADEPARKGKVH (aa 240-255) and the T cell epitope is GREKFTIRPHYGKEI (aa 137-151).
Few mice immunized with the epitope were protected from challenge with semliki forest virus; protection occured in mice where montanide and Q VAC were used as adjuvants.
