| name: |
A conjugate vaccine composed of a heat shock protein 60 T-cell epitope peptide (p458) and Neisseria meningitidis type B capsular polysaccharide.
|
| description: |
Low doses of the epitope coupled to Meningococcal type B capsular polysaccharide (MnB) is more effective to induce IgG Abs to Meningococcal type B capsular polysaccharide (MnB), and three immunizations are required to induce response. The most of isotypes is IgG1, low levels of the IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG3 and IgM isotypes were observed. Meningococcal type B capsular polysaccharide (MnB)-p458 induced long -lasting Ab to Meningococcal type B capsular polysaccharide (MnB). But Meningococcal type B capsular polysaccharide (MnB) + p458 or MnB alone couldn't. PBS is an effective vehicle to induce anti-MnB Abs, adjuvant is unnecessary. There is no interference between Meningococcal type B capsular polysaccharide (MnB)-p458 and Meningococcal type C capsular polysaccharide (MnC)-p458 conjugated vaccines.
