name:
Antibodies targeting linear determinants of the envelope protein protect mice against West Nile virus.
description:
The reference positions correspond to the Envelope protein region of the viral polyprotein. This sequence corresponds to the fusion loop region. The author provided GenBank identifier was GI: 7717201.
IgGs were affinity-purified to the epitope from anti-WNV truncated E protein sera, and its ability to cross-react to the the homologous domain from Dengue virus type 1 was analyzed. Considering the reactivity to the immunogen as 100%, the cross-reactive level of recognition was 44%.
