description:	Epitope-specific mAb recognized pili of N. gonorrhoeae strains R10, MS11 in ELISA. The epitope sequence was deduced by testing deletion peptides derived from residues 69-84 of gonococcal pili. Sequence DIKG is the immunodominant part of the epitope. The peptides were synthesized to include GC residues at its C-terminus for conjugation to BSA.
