description:	The epitope sequence occurs multiple times in the gliadin sequence. Serum IgE from wheat-allergic patients reacted with the epitope. There was no reaction with the truncated peptide QQPF. The epitope showed pronounced inhibition of binding to gliadin by serum IgE from one patient and modest inhibition of serum IgE from two other patients.
