The epitope weakly inhibited the binding of neutralizing serum IgG to immobilized peptide LV-P2 (FADGNGDSSTYQYIYNLTICELNG) from strain Lelystad. The authors conclude that the primary neutralization epitopes of the European and North American PRRSV are closely related and located in the same position in the middle of the GP5 ectodomain.
