Roles of adjuvant and route of vaccination in antibody response and protection engendered by a synthetic matrix protein 2-based influenza A virus vaccine in the mouse.
|
| description: |
One day after passive transfer of the epitope-specific mAb, mice were exposed to respiratory tract challenge with 4 LD50 of PR8 influenza virus and monitored for weight loss and survival. The IgG2a switch variant of the mAb provided total protection from death and less weight loss, while the IgG2b and IgG1 isotype variants of the mAb were less protective.
