Construction and functional activities of chimeric mouse-human immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin M antibodies against the Neisseria meningitidis PorA P1.7 and P1.16 epitopes.
|
| description: |
Epitope sequence can be found in cited reference: Wang et al (2000) Infect Immun 68:1871 [PMID: 10722576].
The epitope-specific chimeric mAb 208,D5 was demonstrated to bind N. mengingitidis strain 44/76 by direct binding assay (ELISA) and by inhibition assays (flow cytometry). The results indicates that chimeric IgG3 and IgM have similar functional affinities for whole bacterial cells.
