The ability of anti-peptide antibodies to neutralize SEA-induced emesis in Suncus murinus was determined by incubating the antibodies with SEA, and then injecting the mixture intraperitoneally. A positive response was based on inhibition of emesis in individual animals. Mixtures of antibodies against select epitopes identified in this study were found to give complete neutralization of emesis.
