name:
Importance of an immunodominant surface-exposed loop on outer membrane protein P2 of nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae.
description:
The epitope inhibited anti-whole bacteria anti-sera from binding to the epitope by immunoblot and from binding to the P2 protein by immunoblot, ELISA, and RIA. This latter experiment indicates that all of the detectable antibodies to P2 after immunization with whole bacteria bind to epitopes located on the loop 5 peptide.
