name:
Epitope mapping of T4 endonuclease VII with monoclonal antibodies reveals importance of both ends of the protein for target binding.
description:
The minimal epitope recognized by the mAbs was determined by analysis of reactivity with fragments of endonuclease VII (EVII) and C-terminally truncated EVII protein. The mAbs reacted with fragments 66-157 and 115-157, but not with 125-157. MAbs D12 and D256 were also shown to react with EVII 1-154, but further truncation reduced reactivity. All mAbs were of the IgG1 subclass, except D27 was IgM.
