| name: |
Neutralization of measles virus wild-type isolates after immunization with a synthetic peptide vaccine which is not recognized by neutralizing passive antibodies.
|
| description: |
This peptide is conserved in clade A, B3, C2, D3 and D5 measles viruses.
Epitope-immunized animals developed anti-virus antibodies. Two linked copies of the epitope enhanced the response. Similar but lower results are obtained when a single copy of the epitope was linked to other T cell epitope conjugates. By alanine-scanning, it was shown that the generation of anti-virus antibodies requires the Cys at position 16 and one of the other two Cys residues present.
