description:	The epitope sequence was cited in Jenkins, JR. et al. (1984) Nucleic Acids Res. Jul 25 12(14):5609-26 [PMID: 637960]. Mouse p53 encoded by plasmid p11-4 was expressed in transfected COS7 cells. The epitope-specific mAb recognized the antigen in immunoprecipitation with p11-4, but did not recognize the deletion mutant dlEB which contains a deletion from aa 11 through 157, and dlEE which contains a deletion from aa 11 through 33. In addition, the assay was positive for various mutants containing insertions outside the epitope sequence.
