name:
Radiobinding assay for detecting autoantibodies to single epitopes.
description:
Sera from diabetic patients recognized the epitope by radiobinding assay (RBA) and by ELISA, with the ELISA being less sensitive than the RBA. TrxA protein and the epitope were able to compete for the binding of the sera to the epitope. Of 4 donors who were IA-2 antibody positive, 1 reacted with the epitope by immunoprecipitation.
