The peptide is derived from the genomic MHV-68 (a.k.a. Murid herpesvirus 4) sequence described in the cited reference Adler et al, J Virol 74, 6964&ndash
6974 (2000) [PMID 10888635].
Neutralization by epitope-specific mAb was tested in vivo. The virus (1 p.f.u) was incubated with the mAb (1μg) and inoculated intranasally to mice. There was no reduction of viral titers in the lung obtained from those mice compared with controls.
