description:
The epitope of Fab5 on ß2AR365 bound to carazolol (an inverse agonist) was determined from the crystal structure of the complex, solved by molecular replacement. To improve the size and uniformity of the crystals, 48 amino acids were removed from the unstructured C terminus of the beta-2 adrenergic receptor to generate ß2AR365. This structure is identical to the structure where the cleavage site was inserted after amino acid 24 of AR365 [PDB: 2R4S].
