description:	This fibronectin peptide is conserved in human, mouse, and cow fibronectin, and is also found in T. pallidum Tpp47 antigen. Immunized rabbits were infected 10 days after the last immunization with 4x10^7 T. pallidum. The immunization affected the course of disseminated syphilitic infection: the onset of lesions was delayed, fewer lesions appeared, and fewer lesions progressed through severe necrotic stage.
