Patient sera did not react with the epitope based on (lack of) reactivity with overlapping fragments of GAD65 protein expressed as a fusion protein with glutathione S. transferase. Sera from 10 patients with PAS without diabetes and sera from 11 PAS patients with diabetes did not react.
