description:	The epitope sequence is also found in GAD67 (residues 581-594). The epitope-specific mAb selected the peptide from an M13 phage library expressing linear 12-mer peptide inserts after immunopanning. Homology of the selected peptides to GAD65 residues 572-582 suggested that the consensus epitope for the C-MoAb is FLI-EIE-L.
