Immune hyporesponsiveness to amyloid beta-peptide in amyloid precursor protein transgenic mice: implications for the pathogenesis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
|
| description: |
Sera from immunzied APP transgenic mice (APP-Tg+), which express beta-amyloid precursor protein, stained only a few neuritic plaques compared with strong staining observed with sera from control B6SJL mice and non-transgenic (wild-type) littermates of APP-Tg+ mice. The fewer number of stained plaques observed with serum was expected due to the low anti-epitope antibody titers in the immunized APP-Tg+ mice.
