The epitope-specific antiserum recognized the alternative spliced form of the amyloid precursor protein APP-751in Western Blot, using lystaes of Sf 9 cells infected with recombinant baculovirus. Antibody-immunoreactive proteins were identified as a high-molecular-mass species that failed to enter the gel (APP holoprotein) and discrete low-molecular-mass bands of 25, 17, 16, and 14 kDa.
