| name: |
Immunogenicity and therapeutic efficacy of phage-displayed beta-amyloid epitopes.
|
| description: |
The antibodies were tested against A beta 1-11. Similar results were seen with non-transgenic B6C3 and with Balb/c mice. Immunization with the epitope produced higher IgM titers against fragment A beta 1-11 than immunization with either A beta 1-7 or with A beta 1-42. The optimal antibody response following epitope immunization requires a threshold dose of antigen, in this case 50 ug doses or more. The most prevalent isotype is IgG2b, followed by IgG2a, IgG3 and then by IgG1.
