Recognition of the minimal epitope of monoclonal antibody Tau-1 depends upon the presence of a phosphate group but not its location.
|
| description: |
The epitope successfully competed with the T1 epitope (189-207) for binding to the Tau-1 mAb. Similar results were seen in solid-phase and liquid-phase ELISA. Monophosphorylation of Ser202, 199, 198, or 195 disrupted binding. Mutation of Ser195 to Ala had no effect on binding.
