The contact allergen dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) and respiratory allergy in the Th2-prone Brown Norway rat.
|
| description: |
Macroscopic and microscopic skin allergy symptoms were enhanced in sensitized rats after a cutaneous challenge with DNCB (topical patch with 0.1% DNCB applied for 24 h to the flank, calculated total dose 30μg) at day 16 after the 1st sensitizing dose, compared to the response in unsensitized, challenged group. The response was higher in this Th1 response-prone strain than in Th2-prone Black Norway rats.
