name:
Potent anti-HPV immune responses induced by tandem repeats of the HPV16 L2 (20 -- 38) peptide displayed on bacterial thioredoxin.
description:
The epitope sequence was cited in Pastrana et al. (2005) Virology. 2005 Jul 5
337(2):365-72 [PMID: 15885736].
The epitope-specific antiserum raised against the TRX conjugated epitope recognized the antigen, but the antiserum raised against KLH-conjugated epitope did not. Immunization of mice with multimers (4-, or 8-mer) of the epitope conjugated to TRX lead to a higher epitope-specific titer.
